World Blogging Forum 2009 | Ideas for a better digital world
ASLS Romania is proud to organize, from 9 to 12 November 2009, World Blogging Forum. The event takes place at The Houses of Parliament and it is supported by The Agency for Governmental Strategies.
The event brings together some of the most influential persons in the online media from over 30 countries, aiming to establish clear parameters of the development of the online media. Among the participants, there are personalities all over the world, from countries such as the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Japan, China, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Egypt, Norway, Georgia and the participants will have the opportunity to interact, create important business connections and close partnerships and agreements.
In a democratic vein, the official site of the event, www.worldbloggingforum.com, will organize an online poll so that people could vote for the 2 bloggers who will represent Romania at the debates at the forum. This event is accessible to all those who are keen on or interested in this subject. The conditions for participating at the WBF are available online, on the official website of the event.
“During the forum, the participants in the debates will tackle themes of interest in the dynamic blogging and online media industry as well as problems that concern the society at a global level: the development of science and education with the help of the online medium, democracy and freedom of speech, environmental problems, the economic crisis, global politics”, declared Mihaela Draghici, the president of ASLS Romania.
“The event wants to launch publicly a global statement of the principles of the online journalism, a constitution of freedom of expression on the Internet signed at Bucharest, at which bloggers worldwide should adhere”, Mihaela Draghici also said with the occasion of the official launching of the advertising campaign for the event.
ASLS Romania is one of the most active youth organizations in Romania, and during its 10th years of activity, has excelled as an active member in the society. ASLS Romania always correctly informs students, trains them, provides them professional guidance and organizes various events concerning all these objectives. Some of the events hosted by ASLS are Online Students’ Admission, Cancer Prevention Campaign, JOBfest – online job fair, Career Days and SMILE.
