Jeff Jedras | As both a journalist and a blogger, Jeff Jedras has his feet in the worlds of both old and new media.
In his day job, Jeff has been a journalist covering the information technology (IT sector) for over 10 years. For the last four he’s been a senior writer with IT World Canada, the largest IT trade publisher in Canada, and publisher of titles including Computer World Canada, Network World Canada and Computer Dealer News. IT World Canada has been an early adopter of Web journalism and Web 2.0, experimenting with tools such as blogging, video and Twitter to help it inform and engage its readers.
When he’s not working, for four years Jeff writes a well-known political blog called A BCer in Toronto, focusing primarily on federal politics and his support for Canada’s Liberal Party. His blogging has included interviews and videos with political leaders and coverage of events across the country, and has also led to media interviews on political and blogging topics. He is also a contributor to the blog section of the National Post, a national Canadian newspaper.
