ASLS Romania was founded in May 1999. The initiative was supported by over 400 students, who felt the need to set up an organization which should represent their interests and discuss youth issues.
ASLS Romania celebrated 10 years of NGO activity in 2009 and it is one of the most active youth organizations in Romania as their members are involved every year in non-governmental and civic campaigns aiming to create a better world.
Some of the events hosted by ASLS: Bucharest Career Fair, Online Student Admission, Cancer Prevention Campaign, JOBfest – online job fair, Career Days, 601 Scholarship or SMILE. The organization is also a partner of EURO<26 and part of GIPIR - Imagine Romania (Grupul de Initiativa pentru Promovarea Imaginii Romaniei) since 2005.

Becoming a member is not so difficult. One must be a young and dynamic person, and must be driven by the wish to be part of a dynamic group, whose main purpose is to promote different activities which involve the participation of our fellow students, a group which is determined to change things for the better and defend youth interests in all situations.
The experience you will gain by joining ASLS may have a benefic influence on your future career perspectives as you have the chance to be involved in great non-governmental projects.
